The Old Moat Garden Centre in Horton Lane Epsom was my setting for Mothers Day (sorry mum). I was asked if I could be on hand to take portrait photos of people out and about with their Mothers and family. So I set up a little portrait area to shoot within the tea room within the Old Moat with a some off camera flash speed lights and a couple of canon cameras with different lenses. This was more of a relaxed mini shoot with people asking rather than me suggesting if they would like there photo taken which many liked the idea and seemed to work quite well, with a few younger potential models making the most of their limelight.
The Old Moat Garden Centre also offered me the chance to display my photography landscapes of Surrey London and beyond with 25% of all sales from both my landscape photography mounted prints and from the mothers day portrait photography mini shoot will go to The Old Moat, which is part of mental health charity Richmond Fellowship. Both the portrait photos and the landscape prints made very good Mothers Day gifts and visitors commented how I had captured the local area in such away they had not noticed before, I suppose in our busy lives we take our local surroundings for granted.
